Everyone has rights. Rights are like promises to make sure that you are treated fairly, protected, cared for, and able to participate and develop to your full potential.
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (or the UNCRC for short) sets out what your rights are.
Children’s rights to education and support in Scotland
In Scotland, ALL children have the following rights:
👉 the right to an education.
👉 the right to extra support with school if you need it for any reason at all.
👉 The right to be listened to and involved in decisions about your education and support.
