Your right to education and support.
Everyone has rights. They are like promises to make sure that you are treated fairly, protected, cared for, and have what you need to live a good life, including having a meaningful education.
The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (or the UNCRC for short) sets out what your rights are – you can find out more about them here.
Children’s rights in Scotland
In Scotland, children and young people have the right to an education that is accessible and inclusive to all. You should feel supported, listened to and involved in decisions at school.
Your education should help you reach your full potential, regardless of background, disability, gender or religion.
My Rights, My Say can help if you’re between 12 and 15 and want extra help with your learning.
