Accessibility

Aims

REACH commits to making its websites accessible in line with accessibility regulations.

As part of this, we aim to surpass Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 to AAA success criteria. Note that some colours used are adhering to a newer draft accessibility specification and may flag up issues in WCAG 2.1.

Further tools for users

Our accessibility tool (ReciteMe) has additional tools such as screen reader, language options and to help make content in PDFs more accessible.

Content that might be non-accessible

  • Embedded media (Twitter and YouTube, for example).
  • PDF documents.
  • Images on the site which contain text.

Roadmap

Enquire is always working towards greater accessibility.

We aim to:

  • Have alternate HTML versions of new PDF content and transcripts for any videos on the site.
  • Reduce or eliminate text in images. Where there is text in images on the website, we are working to ensure that alternate versions of this text are available.
